Removal & Installation (2.0L Duratec SVT)
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove 7 screws located around instrument cluster bezel. See Fig 1. Pull out on bezel and disconnect luggage compartment release switch electrical connector. Remove bezel. Remove 4 screws securing instrument cluster to dashboard. See Fig 2. Disconnect the instrument cluster illumination connector. Remove instrument cluster and remove wiring harness connector locking tang and disconnect connector from instrument panel.
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
WARNING:
SVT instrument cluster uses high AC voltage for the electro-luminescent backlighting in both instrument clusters. Caution must be taken when working around electrical connections to avoid possible electrical shock.
