Removal and Installation

Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the air cleaner housing.
Remove the brake master cylinder nuts.

Position the brake master cylinder (2140) aside.

Disconnect the booster vacuum hose.

Disconnect the power distribution box auxiliary relay and set aside.

Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover.

Remove the brake pedal position (BPP) switch self-locking pin.

Remove the brake pedal position (BPP) switch (13480) and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.

Remove the power brake booster nuts.

Remove the power brake booster (2005).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
