Vehicle Security Module (VSM)
CAUTION:
Prior to removal of Vehicle Security Module (VSM), upload module configuration information to scan tool. This information must be downloaded into replacement VSM after installation.
Disconnect battery negative cable. Remove 2 lower cup holder retaining screws and remove lower cup holder. Remove 2 upper cup holder/ash tray retaining screws and remove upper cup holder/ash tray. Remove 4 screws around instrument panel center trim panel and remove center trim panel. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove wiring harness from mounting stud on VSM. Remove 2 nuts and remove VSM. To install, reverse removal procedure.
