Toe Adjustment - F-250, F-350, 4x4 and F-450, F-550
- Start the engine. Center the steering wheel.
- Turn the engine off. Use a rigid link from the steering wheel to the brake pedal to lock the steering wheel in the straight-forward position.
- Loosen the nuts.
- Clean and lubricate the steering linkage and tie rod end threads.
- Rotate the tie rod adjusting sleeve to the correct toe setting.
- Tighten the nuts.
- Loosen the nuts.
- Clean and lubricate the steering linkage and tie rod end threads.
- Rotate the tie rod adjusting sleeve to the correct toe setting.
- Tighten the nuts.
- Recheck the toe settings. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
NOTE:
If the RH toe measurement is within specifications and only the LH toe measurement needs adjustment, go to Step 6
