Fuel Gauge

NOTE: Fuel level sensor/pump assembly may also be referred to as fuel pump module or fuel pump/fuel gauge sender.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Depress 2 clips securing front of rear seat cushion, and remove rear seat cushion. Disconnect fuel level sensor/pump 6-pin harness connector C315. See Figure. Connect one lead of Instrument Gauge System Tester (014-R1063) to fuel pump level sensor/pump 6-pin harness connector C315 terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Brown wire), and other tester lead to ground.
  2. Set tester to 15 ohms. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait one minute and read fuel gauge. Gauge should read "E" (empty). Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
  3. Set tester to 160 ohms. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait one minute and read gauge. Gauge should read "F" (full). Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
