Alarm Event PIDs

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Ford Pickup, 2012 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2012 Ford F450 Super Duty, and 2012 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The BCM has PIDs available that show what caused the last alarm events. The 4 BCM alarm event PIDs are ALARM_EVT_1 through 4. The cause for the most recent alarm activation is always listed in the first alarm event PID. These PIDs display what caused the alarm to activate and can be a very useful tool when trying to identify the cause of a false alarm activation.
