Oil Pan - Lower: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Drain the engine oil.
    • On late build vehicles, tighten to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft).
  3. Remove the 15 bolts and the lower oil pan.
    • On early build vehicles, remove and discard the gasket.
    • On late build vehicles, clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
