In-Vehicle Repair: Flexplate: Installation

- Install the flexplate and 10 new bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages, in the sequence shown.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 65 Nm (48 lb-ft)
- Stage 3: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Install the transmission. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION TORQSHIFT .
NOTE:
Do not use magnetic screwdrivers or other magnetic tools around the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor and the crankshaft sensor pulse ring or damage to the components may occur.
