Valve Recession Check

 Depth Micrometer
303-D026 (D80P-4201-A) or equivalent
  1. Clean the cylinder head. For additional information, refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning .
    2. NOTE: Do not take the measurement in the center of the valve, there is a recess in the valve. A erroneous reading will result from the center of the valve.
  2. Using the Depth Micrometer, check the valve recession. For additional information, refer to Specifications .
