Normal Operation

When the parking aid system is active, a volume cutback request message is sent to the Body Control Module (BCM) from the Parking Aid Module (PAM) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). The volume cutback request message is sent from the BCM  over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) to the ACM  to decrease the volume of the ACM  while the parking aid warning sounds. The sounder increases its warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle. When an object is detected within 30 cm (12 in) of the vehicle, the warning tone becomes continuous.
