DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINES - POWER TAKE-OFF CONCERNS

266 - ROUTINE 
Powertrain Control System 
  • CARRY OUT On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) tests. REFER to the INTRODUCTION article for diagnosis and testing of the PCM. For diagnosing TCC  solenoid, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . For diagnosing TFT  sensor, GO to PINPOINT TEST B . For diagnosing TSS  /intermediate shaft speed sensor, GO to PINPOINT TEST D . REPAIR as necessary. CLEAR the DTCs, ROAD TEST the vehicle and RERUN the OBD  test.
  • PCM, vehicle wiring harnesses, transmission internal harness, Power Take-Off (PTO) switch, PTO  input, park brake switch, Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch, Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor, Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor required for correct elevated idle and Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) engagements in PARK and NEUTRAL and for correct line pressure
