Oil Level Indicator and Tube: Installation

Lower oil level indicator tube
- Install the lower oil level indicator tube and 2 bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the engine rear cover. For additional information, refer to ENGINE REAR COVER in this service information.
Upper oil level indicator tube
- Using 2 new O-ring seals, position the oil level indicator tube in the vehicle.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- From below, align the oil level indicator tube into the engine rear cover.
- Install the oil level indicator tube and bolt.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the oil level indicator.
- Position back the transmission oil level indicator tube and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
NOTE:
Position the oil level indicator tube under the transmission level indicator tube.
NOTE:
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals.
NOTE:
Verify that the oil level indicator tube is bottomed in the rear engine cover.
