Intake Manifold - Lower: Installation

- Install the lower intake manifold and the 3 bolts.
- Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the lower intake manifold.
- Tighten the turbocharger inlet hose clamps.
- Tighten the 2 lower turbocharger inlet hose clamps.
- If equipped, tighten the 2 upper turbocharger inlet hose clamps.
- Connect the CAC inlet tube to the turbocharger and install the clip.
- Using new gaskets, install the EGR bypass outlet pipe and 4 bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Connect the EGRT sensor electrical connector and the wire harness retainer.
- Connect the TB electrical connector.
- Connect the CAC outlet tube to the TB and install the clip.
- Install the air cleaner ACL outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM & INTAKE AIR FILTERING SYSTEM article.
- Install the upper intake manifold. For additional information, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD - UPPER in this service information.
NOTE:
Position the turbocharger inlet hose(s) as needed.
NOTE:
Vehicles with over 14,000 pounds GVWR
, will only have the lower turbocharger inlet boot.
