Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Cooler - Oil-to-Air Fluid Cooler: Removal

Gasoline engine vehicles 

  1. Disconnect the hood release cable clip, remove the power steering cooler bolts and position the power steering cooler aside.

    NOTE: Do not disconnect the A/C lines while moving the A/C condenser toward the front of the vehicle to remove the oil-to-air (OTA) transmission fluid cooler.
  3. Remove the bracket bolts and position the A/C condenser forward.

    Diesel engine vehicles 

  5. Remove the fuel cooler bolt and position the fuel cooler aside.

  7. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the upper charge air cooler (CAC) hose.

  9. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower CAC hose.

  11. Remove bolts and the CAC.

    All vehicles 

  13. Disconnect the OTA transmission fluid cooler hoses.
  14. Remove the bolts and the OTA transmission fluid cooler.
  15. Remove the fluid cooler tube from the OTA transmission fluid cooler.
