Intake Throttle Adapter: Removal

  1. Remove the vertical EGR cooler and EGR valve. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL article.
  2. Remove the Throttle Body (TB). For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - 6.4L DIESEL article.
  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the intake throttle adapter.
    • Remove and discard the press-in-place gasket.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new press-in-place gasket.
