Push Rod Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Thoroughly clean each push rod using a suitable solvent. Dry using filtered, compressed air.
  2. Inspect each push rod for wear and deposits which may restrict the flow of oil into the rocker arm assembly. Install a new push rod as needed.
  3. Check all push rods for flatness by rolling them on a flat, smooth straight surface. If a push rod is not straight, install new as necessary. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
