Upper door trim panel 

1. Remove the 2 rear window latch screws and position aside the rear window latch.

NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
2. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
   1. Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover upward.
   2. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide bolt.
      • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
   3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

3. Remove the rear door upper trim panel.
   • Pull outward to release the rear door upper trim panel clips.

Lower door trim panel 

4. Lift up and remove the shoulder safety belt finish trim panel.
   • Route the shoulder safety belt through the shoulder safety belt finish trim panel opening.

5. Remove the safety belt anchor.
   • Position the safety belt anchor cover downward.
   • Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.
     • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
   • Remove the safety belt anchor.
6. Remove the scrivet and the 3 rear door lower trim panel screws.

CAUTION: Do not pull directly outward on the rear door lower trim panel, as damage will occur.
7. Pull straight up to remove the rear door lower trim panel.
   • Route the shoulder safety belt through the lower rear door trim panel opening.

Upper and lower door trim panels 

CAUTION: Insert the rear door lower trim panel tabs first or they can break when installing the rear door lower trim panel.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
