Wheel and Tire - Single Rear Wheel (SRW): Removal

- If equipped, remove the wheel cover.
- Check the torque for all of the wheel nuts. If any wheel nuts have a torque above 312 Nm (230 lb-ft), install all new wheel studs on that wheel hub. For additional information, Refer to SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION -- F-250-550 (SUPER DUTY PICKUPS) .
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the wheel nuts and the wheel and tire assembly.
NOTE:
Do not use heat to loosen a seized wheel nut. Heat may damage the wheel and wheel bearings.
