P0194 - FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC
| Description: | The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor input to determine if the FRP signal is within an expected range. The test fails when the PCM detects an intermittent concern with the FRP signal. | |||
| Possible Causes: |
| Diagnostic Aids: | Monitor the FRP voltage and pressure PIDs on a scan tool. With the key ON, engine OFF wiggle all accessible harness from the sensor to the PCM and lightly tap on the sensor. Look for sudden changes in the voltage or pressure when the harness is wiggled or sensor is tapped. | |||
