Instrument Cluster Dealer Test Mode Displays

  1. All Segments Illuminated

    Illuminates all odometer segments.
  2. "GAGE"

    Activates gauge sweep of all gauges, then displays present gauge values. Also carries out checksum tests on ROM and EE.
  3. "bulb"

    Illuminates all micro-controlled lamps and LEDs.
  4. "r"

    Returns to normal operation of all micro-controlled lamps and LEDs. Displays hexadecimal value of ROM level.
  5. "EE"

    Displays hexadecimal value of for EE level.
  6. "dt"

    Displays hexadecimal coding of final manufacturing test date.
  7. "dtc"

    Displays DTCs. Pressing trip odometer/reset button will display any DTCs stored before proceeding to next step.
  8. "cFG0"

    Displays coding of software configurable features/options.
  9. "cFG1"

    Displays coding of software configurable features/options.
  10. "cFG2"

    Displays coding of software configurable features/options.
  11. "cFG3"

    Displays coding of software configurable features/options.
  12. "SPd xxx.x mi"

    Displays English speed in MPH. Speedometer will indicate present speed within tolerance. Display will show zero if input is not received. If input received is invalid for one second or more, or if speed is zero.
  13. "SPd xxx.x kmi"

    Displays English speed data from PCM via SCP network. Displays metric speed in KPH. Speedometer will indicate present speed within tolerance. Display will show zero if input is not received. If input received is invalid for one second or more, or if speed is zero.
  14. "tAc xxxx"

    Displays tachometer data being received from PCM via SCP network. Tachometer will indicate present RPM within tolerance. Display will show zero if input is not received. If input received is invalid for one second or more, or if engine RPM is zero.
  15. "FuEL"

    Displays actual A/D fuel level. Fuel gauge will display a filtered fuel level value. This filter will keep pointer from moving suddenly or erratically. If value displayed is between zero and 20, circuit is shorted. See FUEL LEVEL VALUE  table.

  16. "dEGC"

    Display of engine temperature in Celsius. Input from cylinder head temperature sensor. If value displayed is -40 C°, SCP message for engine temperature has not been received for more than 5 seconds. See TEMPERATURE VALUE  table.
