Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Removal

Rear main bearing oil seal is a one-piece seal. Remove transmission or transaxle. See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. Remove flexplate/flywheel. Punch hole in metal portion of seal with an awl. Remove seal with a slide hammer.
