Drive Shaft Angle
WARNING:
On vehicles with electronic air suspension, suspension system must be disabled prior to hoisting or jacking. See DISABLING ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION
under MAINTENANCE.
NOTE:
Ensure that all engine and transmission mounts are in good condition before performing this procedure.
- Measure ride height. See RIDE HEIGHT . Vehicle must be at curb weight (unloaded) condition. Specified pinion angles correspond to measured ride height. Place protractor or equivalent at any location along bottom of drive shaft. See Fig 1 .
- Read and record angle. Subtract frame angle to obtain drive shaft angle.
