Test K: Left Side Air Bag Circuit Short To Battery (DTC B1992): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) checks left side air bag module circuit for shorts to battery by monitoring connector C423, terminals No. 15 (Green-Black wire) and No. 16 (Black-Green wire). If RCM detects a short to battery, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1992 in memory and flash Code 5 on AIR BAG warning light.
