Test Al: Air Bag Warning Light Circuit Short To Battery (DTC B1870): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) monitors AIR BAG warning light circuit for open or short to ground at connector C424, terminal No. 4 (Black-Green wire). If RCM detects an open or short to ground in circuit, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1870 in memory and, if other DTCs are present, send a signal to warning tone indicator to produce 5 sets of 5 tone bursts.
