Test AE: Right Side Air Bag Circuit Short To Ground (DTC B1997): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) monitors resistance to ground at connector C423, terminals No. 23 (Green-Red wire) and No. 24 (Black-Orange wire). If RCM detects resistance less than 1000 ohms, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1997 in memory and flash Code 6 on AIR BAG warning light.
