Test D: Low Fuel Warning Indicator Never On

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Observe fuel gauge. If gauge reads correctly, go to next step. If gauge does not read correctly, perform TEST C: FUEL GAUGE READS INCORRECTLY .
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove instrument cluster to gain access to LOW FUEL warning indicator bulb. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Remove LOW FUEL warning indicator bulb. Test bulb for continuity. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster. Retest system operation. If bulb is not okay, replace bulb. Retest system operation.
