Test AE: No Communication With COMPUVALVE (Bi-Fuel Only)

NOTE: Tests skip from TEST AC to TEST AE. No tests have been omitted.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect compuvalve 64-pin harness connector C4025. Compuvalve is located in left rear of engine compartment, on top of engine. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and compuvalve 64-pin harness connector C4025 terminals No. 2 and 11 (White wires) individually. See Fig 1. If battery voltage is present at both terminals, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present at either terminal, repair open in appropriate White wire(s) between compuvalve and bi-fuel relay module. Bi-fuel relay module is located in left rear of engine compartment. Retest system operation.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between ground and compuvalve 64-pin harness connector C4025 terminal No. 64 (Black wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, repair module communications network problem. See appropriate MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between compuvalve and ground point. Ground point is located in left rear of engine compartment. Retest system operation.
