Front Brake Caliper: Reassembly

NOTE: If using a "C" clamp to bottom out piston in caliper bore, be sure to use a wood block or an old brake pad between clamp and piston to avoid damage to piston.

Apply a film of clean brake fluid onto NEW seal, bore and piston. Install seal into caliper bore. Install piston squarely into caliper bore. Install dust boot into caliper. Ensure dust boot is secured into groove on piston and caliper. To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
