Pinpoint Test G: A Single Illumination Source Is Inoperative - Door Lock Control Switches

G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 194 (PK) FOR VOLTAGE
- Disconnect: Suspect door lock switch.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the driver door lock switch C505 pin 5, or the passenger door lock switch C605 pin 5, circuit 194 (PK), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to G2.
- No : VERIFY that central junction box (CJB) fuse 17 (15A) is OK. REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between the driver door lock switch C505 pin 1, or the passenger door lock switch C605 pin 1, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new door lock switch. REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
