Test Y: Climate Control Illumination Inoperative
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Integrated Control Panel (ICP) connector C274 (radio). Turn parking lights on. Measure voltage between ground and ICP connector C274 terminal No. 5 (Red/Black wire). See Fig 1
. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Red/Black wire.
- Measure voltage between ground and ICP connector C274 terminal No. 7 (Green wire) while rotating rheostat from left to right. If voltage range is .2-11 volts, remove and repair ICP at authorized repair facility. If voltage range is not .2-11 volts, turn parking lights off and go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument panel dimming module (dimmer switch) connector C221. Measure resistance of Green wire between ICP connector C274 terminal No. 7 and instrument panel dimming module connector terminal No. 6. See Figure
. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument panel dimming module. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Green wire.
