Primary Sun Gear & One-Way (Sprag) Clutch: Inspection

Inspect inner and outer races for wear, scoring or grooves. Inspect all components for wear, damage and effects of overheating. Check sun gear teeth thoroughly for wear and damage. Primary sun gear inner bushing diameter should measure .828" (21.02 mm). 2-4 band drum and rear sun gear inner bushing diameter should measure 1.198" (30.42 mm). If either measurement is not as specified, replace worn component.
