Removal & Installation (Escape 3.0L)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove nut and ground strap. Using 3-bar engine support fixture, support engine. Loosen power steering pump pulley bolt. Remove accessory drive belt. Remove power steering pulley.
- Drain power steering fluid. Disconnect power steering low pressure hose. Remove power steering pressure line bracket bolt. Disconnect power steering pressure line, and position aside. Remove upper engine insulator bracket bolt.
- Remove A/C line support nut. Remove engine insulator. Remove power steering pump bracket. Remove power steering pump. To install, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed hydraulic system. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
