Test R: Turn/Hazard Indicator Is Inoperative/Always On
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Operate turn signals. Operate hazard lights. If turn signals and hazard lights operate correctly, go to next step. If turn signals and hazard lamps do not operate correctly, repair as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using New Generation Star (NGS) tester, select instrument cluster WARNING LAMPS AND CHIME active command. Trigger ALL LAMPS active command. Observe left and right turn signal indicators. If indicators illuminate, check communication between Front Electronic Module (FEM), Rear Electronic Module (REM) and instrument cluster. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - WINDSTAR article. If indicators do not illuminate, replace instrument cluster.
