Test R: Traction Control Indicator Is Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C220a. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Depress traction control switch to ON position. Measure voltage between terminal No. 10 (Red/Yellow wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C220a and terminal No. 11 (White/Pink wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C220a. If battery voltage exists, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) control module connector C135. See Figure . Measure resistance of White/Pink wire between terminal No. 11 at instrument cluster harness connector C220a and terminal No. 9 at ABS control module harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and instrument cluster terminal No. 11 (White/Pink wire) harness connector C220a. If resistance is less than 5 ohms between instrument cluster connector and anti-lock brake control module connector and resistance is more than 10 k/ohms between instrument cluster connector and ground, check anti-lock brake system. If resistance is more than 5 ohms between instrument cluster connector and anti-lock brake control module connector and resistance is less than 10 k/ohms between instrument cluster connector and ground, repair open in (White/Pink wire) and retest.
