Test H: Low Fuel Warning Indicator Is Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Observe fuel gauge operation. If fuel gauge operates correctly, go to next step. If fuel gauge does not operate correctly, go to TEST B: INCORRECT FUEL GAUGE INDICATION (WITHOUT FLEX FUEL)  or go to TEST C: FUEL GAUGE INACCURATE (WITH FLEX FUEL)  .
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C220a and C220b. Inspect instrument cluster printed circuit for damage. If instrument cluster printed circuit is damaged, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If instrument cluster printed circuit is not damaged, replace fuel gauge and fuel indicator module. See FUEL GAUGE/TEMPERATURE GAUGE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
