Test V: Cruise Control Indicator Is Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If cruise control indicator remains illuminated, see appropriate CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS article. If cruise control indicator does not remain illuminated, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C220b. See Figure . Disconnect speed control servo connector C122. Measure resistance between terminal No. 5 (Orange/Light Blue wire) at instrument cluster harness connector and terminal No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire) at speed harness control servo harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Orange/Light Blue wire and retest.
