Test T: Abs Indicator Is Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C220b. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Within 6 seconds after turning ignition switch to RUN position, measure voltage between terminal No. 6 (Red/Yellow wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C220b and terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C220b. If battery voltage exists, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage does not exists, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) control module connector C135. See Figure . Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) instrument cluster harness connector C220b and terminal No. 25 (Dark Green wire) at anti-lock brake control module harness connector C135. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C220b. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms between instrument cluster connector and anti-lock brake control module connector, and more than 10 k/ohms between instrument cluster connector and ground, replace anti-lock brake control module. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES. If resistance is more than 5 ohms between instrument cluster connector and anti-lock brake control module connector, and less than 10 k/ohms between instrument cluster connector C220b and ground, repair open in Dark Green wire and retest.
