Test S: Check Transmission Indicator Is Inoperative

CAUTION: Use correct test probe adapters when making measurements. Failure to use correct probe adapter may cause damage to connector.

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C220b and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector C175. See Figure . Measure resistance of White/Light Green wire between terminal No. 79 (terminal No. 12 on 3.0L 4V engine) at PCM harness connector C175 and terminal No. 14 at instrument cluster harness connector C220b. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in White/Light Green wire and retest.
