Removal (Station Wagon)
- Raise and support vehicle. Support lower control arm at normal riding height using floor jack. Remove wheel and tire assemblies. Remove brake hose bracket. Remove stabilizer bar "U" bracket from lower control arm. Remove and discard shock absorber mounting nuts.
- Remove parking brake cable and clip from lower control arm. Remove anti-lock brake sensor cable from lower control arm clips (if equipped). Remove and discard bolt and nut attaching tension strut to lower control arm. Support spindle and upper control arms with wire to prevent them from dropping.
- Remove bolt, nut, washer and adjusting cam mounting lower control arm to spindle. Discard bolt, nut and washer. Slowly lower control arm until spring can be removed.
