Test L: Check Engine Indicator Is Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness connector C175. See Figure . Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C220a. See Figure . Measure resistance between terminal No. 15 (Pink/Light Green wire) at instrument cluster harness connector and terminal No. 2 (Pink/Light Green wire) at PCM harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check PCM. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in (Pink/Light Green wire) and retest.
