Transaxle Dynamic Drive Cycle Test: Engagements
- Ensure Bench/Drive switch is in DRIVE mode and gear select switch is in "1" position. Start engine. Shift transaxle from "P" to "R" position. Transaxle should shift into Reverse with firm engagement.
- Shift transaxle back to "P" position. Depress EPC switch. Line pressure at idle should drop to 56 psi (3.9 kg/cm2 ). While depressing EPC switch, shift transaxle from "P" to "R" position. Transaxle should shift into Reverse with smooth engagement.
- Shift transaxle from "R" to "P" position. Release EPC switch. Maximum line pressure should rise to 84 psi (5.9 kg/cm2 ). Shift transaxle from "P" to "D" position. Transaxle should shift into Drive with firm engagement.
- Shift transaxle back to "P" position. Depress EPC switch. Line pressure at idle should drop to 56 psi (3.9 kg/cm2 ). While depressing EPC switch, shift transaxle from "P" to "D" position. Transaxle should shift into Drive with smooth engagement. Release EPC switch.
