Removal & Installation (Sedan)
- Raise vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove bolt retaining brake flexhose bracket to strut. On drum brake models, remove brake drum and wheel bearing. Remove 4 bolts retaining brake backing plate to spindle. Remove brake backing plate from spindle and wire aside.
- On disc brake models, remove disc brake caliper and wire aside. Remove brake rotor, grease cap, hub retaining nut, brake shield, anti-lock brake sensor, and disc brake adapter.
- On all models, remove and discard control arm-to-spindle bolts, washers and nuts. Remove tension strut nut, bushing and washer. Discard nut. Remove pinch bolt retaining spindle to strut. Remove spindle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW bolts, nuts and washers.
