Steering Wheel & Horn Pad: Installation

  1. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Route wiring harnesses through small opening in back of steering wheel. Position steering wheel onto steering shaft. Align reference marks. Tighten pinion shaft to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Through the steering wheel access door, connect the driver air bag and then the accessory electrical connectors. Close the access door.
  3. Activate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Connect positive battery cable. Connect negative battery cable. Check AIR BAG light for system faults.
