Removal & Installation (CII Pump)

Remove the drive belt. See DRIVE BELT .
Disconnect coolant reservoir bottle coolant return hose. Block hose to prevent coolant loss. See Fig 1.

Loosen the fitting and disconnect the power steering pressure hose. See Fig 2.
Disconnect the electrical connector. See Fig 3.

Disconnect the power steering return line. See Fig 4.

Using the Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover (211-016), see Fig 5, remove the power steering pump pulley. See Fig 6.

Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts and the pump. See Fig 7.

To install, reverse the removal procedure. Using the Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer (211-009), see Fig 5, install the power steering pump pulley. See Fig 8. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose fitting. See HOSES .
Fill and leak check the system. See SYSTEM FILL under LUBRICATION.
