Removal & Installation (CIII Pump)

  1. Detach the wiring harness. See Fig 1.

  2. Remove the nut and bolt and position the coolant expansion tank out of the way. See Fig 2.
  3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wiring harness retainer. See Fig 3.

  4. Remove the nuts and the bolt. Position the reservoir out of the way. See Fig 4.

  5. Remove the accessory drive belt. See DRIVE BELT .
  6. Using the Steering Pump Pulley Remover (211-016), see Figure, remove the pump pulley. See Fig 5.

  7. NOTE: If the pulley hub has no marks or one mark, mark the pulley hub with paint before installing it. If the pulley hub has two marks, install a new pulley.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Using the Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer (211-185), install the power steering pump pulley. See Fig 6. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
