Test Y: Right-Side Air Bag Circuit Short To Battery Or Ground (DTC B1996 Or B1997): Description

RCM checks right-side air bag module circuit for shorts to battery or ground by monitoring connector C310B, terminals No. 6 (White/Yellow wire) and No. 7 (Brown/Yellow wire). If RCM detects a short to battery or ground, it will store DTC B1996 or B1997 in memory and flash Code 37 on AIR BAG warning light.
