Test Q: Passenger Air Bag Squib No. 2 Short To Battery Or Ground (DTC B2229 Or B2231): Description

RCM checks passenger-side air bag module squib No. 2 circuit for short to battery or ground by monitoring voltage at RCM harness connector C310B terminals No. 20 (Red/White wire) and No. 21 (Green/Red wire). If RCM detects short to battery or ground on either terminal, it will store DTC B2229 or B2231 in memory and flash Code 31 on AIR BAG warning light.
