Test N: Driver Air Bag Squib No. 2 Short To Battery Or Ground (DTC B2228 Or B2230): Description

RCM checks driver-side air bag module squib No. 2 circuit for short to battery or ground by monitoring voltage at RCM harness connector C310B terminals No. 11 (Yellow/White wire) and No. 12 (Red/Orange wire). If RCM detects short to battery or ground on either terminal, it will store DTC B2228 or B2230 in memory and flash Code 28 on AIR BAG warning light.
