Test F: Driver Air Bag Squib No. 1 Short To Battery Or Ground (DTC B1887 Or B1916): Description

RCM checks driver-side air bag module squib No. 1 circuit for short to battery or ground by monitoring voltage at RCM harness connector C310A terminals No. 2 (Gray/Orange wire) and No. 3 (Gray/White wire). If RCM detects short to battery or ground on either terminal, it will store DTC B1887 or B1916 in memory and flash Code 15 on AIR BAG warning light.
