Test Ag: Air Bag Warning Light Circuit Open Or Short To Battery (DTC B1869 Or B1870): Description

RCM monitors AIR BAG warning light circuit for open or short to battery. If an open or short to battery in AIR BAG warning light circuit is detected, RCM will store DTC 1869 or B1870 in memory. If RCM detects AIR BAG warning light failure in addition to another air bag system failure, it will rout associated Light Flash Code (LFC) to tone generator in Generic Electronic Module (GEM). Tone generator will sound the same pattern as an LFC. DTCs B1869 and B1870 will not cause tone generator to sound.
